Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) — student housing nearby (2026)

The worst university in Belgium, check other reviews, but be sure to scroll to the very end as they downvote/hide the real ones. It's so bad, that they even discard their own students from PhD positions in favor of other universities.

Overall great place because of the students and some great teachers. They can be very slow to get things done and very disorganized, but eventually they do get them done and they're pretty fair with grading here. The -2 stars are for being slow and disorganized sometimes. Great campus to walk across

While in Brussels, I crashed into a friend’s apartment who attends VUB. I should say, the University is world-class, very scenic and located at the heart of the city. They amenities that are international student-friendly and a lot of ongoing developments in the campus. I haven’t really explored the
